Sacramento Regional Transit District Ground-Breaking

We collaborated on the ground-breaking ceremony for the Sacramento Regional Transit District, which was expanding light rail transit service in the region.  To create interest and add a fun element for the participants and attendees, we featured a mock light rail train that delivered the speakers for the event, including Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Mayor Kevin Johnson, and other community leaders.  We held the event at the site of the proposed new station, which was outside an old warehouse that would eventually be torn down and replaced.  The logistics were challenging, but with great teamwork and superb planning, we brought it together and the event was a wonderful success.  The excellent media coverage included stories by Sacramento’s Capital Public Radio Station and local news station, KCRA, an NBC news affiliate.
